Developer Overview
==================

**Navit** is written mostly in C (see `Programming
guidelines <Programming_guidelines>`__), and versioned with git at the `Git
repository <https://github.com/navit-gps/navit>`__.
So get started by cloning the sources is easy as:

  git clone https://github.com/navit-gps/navit.git


If you feel that you can provide a positive **contribution** to Navit,
please submit :ref:`patches <submitting_patches>` or `a pull
